  Together we shall marshal our efforts to achieve sustainability of our ecosystems and natural resources.  

 We list here some organizations in harmony with our mission. We share this information to educate the public, and encourage people to utilize the resources and urge support of these organizations. Through convergence of efforts our focus is to foster environmental sustainability networking and resource sharing to improve the viability of Earth and its ecosystems. We make a covenant to seek and implement solutions to the plastic waste, microplastic, nanoplastic and toxic chemical pollution.

Non-governmental organizations (NGOs), both nonprofit and for profit, are entities that are not part of government. Environmental NGOs (ENGOs) committed to shared sustainability goals protect and nourish ecosystems, influence policy and legislation by direct actions and through their advocacy promote sustainability. Collaboration between grassroots ENGOs environmental organizations, charities and concerned individuals and government advocates is the primary objective of sr+ and OurBlueOrb.Org. Environmental awareness is achieved by educating the public about ecological issues while mobilizing a full bodied grassroots participation and action that will result in environmental justice.

Engineering a successful green alliances requires sharing clear objectives and goals to bring about a renaissance of the environmental movement of the last century: a synergy equal to the tasks of climate change mitigation and adaption, protection of water and marine resources, pollution prevention and control, and conservation and restoration. In joint collaboration of ENGOs, government and concerned citizens we pledge to protect threatened species, preserve wildlife habitats and restore ecosystems so essential for a healthy planet.

OurBlueOrb.Org and splus.com are the digital environmental presence of a growing grassroots coalition to nourish sustainable resources of our planet through a dedication to environmental justice, education, awareness, advocacy and EcoActivism. We organize and persevere to prevent catastrophic, long-term ecological damage. Within the framework of environmental justice and accountability we work in unison with committed like minded people in an effort to help mitigate the plastics, microplastics and forever chemicals catastrophes facing us today and tomorrow.

Blue oceans cover 70% of Earth, holding 97% of all our planet's water, so essential to the existence of life. Our oceans' saltwater is effectively the life blood of Our Blue Orb. Every living creature on this planet depends somehow on our oceans' bounty for sustenance or survival.

Ocean ecosystems' sustainability and health are Earth’s most crucial natural resources that we must maintain and preserve. The continued existence of healthy oceans is in jeopardy as we reach a tipping point.

sr+ supports and seeks solutions to deal with our many environmental challenges, specifically the trifecta of toxic chemical, plastic waste, microplastics and nanoplastics pollution of our oceans and food chain. Our EcoBLOG outreach, SR+ An IngeniousVortex, publishes science and breaking news articles of interest to the environmental community. We dedicate our efforts to ensure a positive outcome for all of Earth's creatures and to inspire others to also do the same.

We look to science and nature for answers to ensure Our Blue Orb's viability. We shall cherish, preserve and protect our natural resources to prolong the sustainability of the Earth. We strive to improve the ecosystems and the habitats of all of our planet's creatures. As an organizational Affiliate of Beyond Plastics, as an Allied organization of Break Free From Plastic, and, also as an Ally of Plastic Pollution Coalition, we share their mission goals and objectives… we work together to achieve a future free from plastic pollution to end plastic pollution everywhere. We shall pursue convergence with others to rid Earth of all forms of plastic pollution and all of its toxic chemicals.

Earth Day & EarthRise:
Environmental
Awakening

A year and a half after the 1968 Apollo 8 mission, when astronaut Bill Anders caught EarthRise on film, twenty million Americans took to the streets. In cities and on college campuses they participated in the first Earth Day's teach-ins, rallies, marches and protests to demand environmental reform.
  
The EarthRise photograph, the most influential environmental image ever taken, encouraged people to take part in the growing modern environmental movement. EarthRise was the motivator, a catalyst and impetus of ecological awareness and advocacy. No longer could we ignore the environmental crises of Earth.

Earth Day was not organized as a protest… instead, the April 22, 1970 first Earth Day encouraged and fueled a growing worldwide environmental awareness.
 
sr+ and Our Blue Orb echo that Earth Day dedication and commitment to continue the struggle to improve our environment and Earth’s sustainability. It is our objective to generate necessary momentum through awareness, education and advocacy to revitalize a renewed global environmental commitment.
